Privacy Policy

Last updated 16 September 2026. Effective 16 September 2026. This policy also serves as the KVKK illumination text (aydınlatma metni) for players in Türkiye.

This policy explains what personal data Uniq Games Studio collects when you play Monster Trip or visit this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. It applies to the game, this website, and related player support. It does not apply to job applicants, employees, or data we collect entirely offline.

1. Who we are

Monster Trip is developed and operated by Uniq Games Studio ("Uniq Games", "we", "us", "our"). For data-protection purposes Uniq Games Studio is the controller of the personal data described in this policy, and the data controller (veri sorumlusu) under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

Controller: Uniq Games Studio
Correspondence: uniqgames@gmail.com
Website: uniqgames.net

We will publish our registered office, trade-registry number and, if we are required to appoint an EU or UK representative, those details on this page as soon as they are in place. Until then, legal and privacy notices sent to the email above will reach us.

If you do not want us to process your data as described here, please do not play the game or use this website, or use the controls in Privacy preferences and in Settings inside the game.

2. What we collect

We collect only what the game needs to work, plus a limited amount of diagnostic and usage data that tells us whether it is working well.

Data you give us

CategoryExamplesWhen
Profile Display name, chosen avatar and frame When you set up or edit your profile
Linked account The account identifier, and the name and email address that Google, Apple or Facebook release to us Only if you choose Save your progress and link an account
Parental controls A PIN and a recovery email address Only if a parent or guardian sets them up. These are stored on the device, not on our servers.
Support correspondence Your email address and whatever you tell us in your message When you contact support

Apple's Sign in with Apple lets you hide your real email address; if you use that option, we only ever see the relay address Apple generates.

Data created by playing

CategoryExamples
Account identifier A randomly generated account ID. You are signed in anonymously from first launch so that progress can be saved; this ID is not linked to your real identity unless you link an account yourself.
Progress Levels completed, current level, gold balance, lives, booster charges and unlocked areas
Social Weekly leaderboard score, team membership and team activity
Settings Music, sound, haptics and notification preferences. These are stored on your device.
Purchases If and when we offer in-app purchases, we receive a transaction identifier and the item purchased from Apple or Google. We never receive your card or payment details.

Data collected automatically

CategoryExamples
Device and app Device model, operating system version, app version, language, country or region, screen resolution
Usage Session start and length, levels started, completed and abandoned, boosters used, screens opened, and similar in-game events
Diagnostics Crash reports, error logs and the state of the app at the moment it failed
Network IP address, which is processed transiently by our hosting provider to route requests and to protect against abuse

We do not show advertising in Monster Trip, and we do not use advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not ask for access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera or precise location.

3. Why we use it

  • To run the game. Saving your progress, restoring it on a new device, awarding gold and lives, and keeping the economy consistent.
  • To provide social features. Showing the weekly leaderboard, and running teams.
  • To keep it working. Diagnosing crashes, finding bugs, and understanding which levels are unexpectedly punishing so we can rebalance them.
  • To improve the game. Understanding, in aggregate, how players move through the game and where they get stuck.
  • To support you. Answering your messages and investigating problems you report.
  • To protect the game. Detecting cheating, abuse and fraudulent transactions, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
  • To meet legal obligations. Responding to lawful requests and keeping records we are required to keep.

We do not use your personal data to make decisions about you by automated means that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Legal bases

If the EU or UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following legal bases:

PurposeLegal basis
Running the game, saving progress, social features, supportPerformance of a contract with you
Crash diagnostics, security, anti-cheat, aggregate product analyticsOur legitimate interests in providing a stable, fair and improving game
Push notifications, and any optional analytics where consent is required in your jurisdictionYour consent, which you can withdraw at any time
Responding to lawful requests and keeping required recordsCompliance with a legal obligation

If you are in Türkiye, we process personal data under KVKK. The matching grounds are set out in section 9.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our instructions, and only as far as they need to:

ProviderWhat it does for us
Google (Firebase) Authentication, Cloud Firestore (progress, leaderboards and teams), Cloud Functions (server-side game logic), Crashlytics (crash reports), Google Analytics for Firebase (product analytics) and Remote Config (feature flags). See Firebase's privacy information.
Apple, Google, Meta Sign-in, only when you choose to link one of those accounts to save your progress. Each company's own privacy policy then also applies to what they collect in their sign-in flow.
Apple App Store, Google Play Distributing the app and processing any purchases. Their own privacy policies apply to what they collect.
Our hosting and email providers Serving this website and handling support correspondence

Other players can see the parts of your profile you choose to make public: your display name, avatar, frame, level and leaderboard score, plus your activity within a team you have joined. Pick a display name accordingly.

We may also disclose data if we are legally required to, if it is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of players, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets — in which case we will tell you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. International transfers

Our service providers operate globally, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where we transfer personal data out of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Türkiye, we rely on legally recognised safeguards — in particular the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK Addendum, and equivalent undertakings under the KVKK — so that your data keeps a comparable level of protection.

7. How long we keep it

  • Account and progress data is kept for as long as your account exists.
  • Inactive accounts may be deleted after a prolonged period of inactivity.
  • Crash and diagnostic data is kept for a limited period, typically up to 90 days.
  • Aggregate analytics is retained in a form that no longer identifies you.
  • Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve your issue and for a reasonable period afterwards.
  • Records we are legally required to keep, such as transaction records, are kept for the period the law requires.

When you ask to delete your account, the request is held for 30 days so that you can change your mind — opening the game again in that window cancels it and restores the account. Once the 30 days have passed we delete or irreversibly anonymise the associated data, other than anything we must retain by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights:

  • Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correction of data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Erasure — deletion of your data. You can do this yourself at any time in the game: Settings → Terms & Privacy → Delete Account, which takes effect after the 30-day grace period described above.
  • Restriction — to limit how we use your data while a question about it is resolved.
  • Objection — to object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Portability — to receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Withdrawing consent — at any time, without affecting processing that already happened.
  • Complaint — to your local supervisory authority. In Türkiye this is the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK); in the EU and UK it is your national data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email uniqgames@gmail.com from the address linked to your account, or use the in-game options. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows, and in any case within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, which usually means confirming ownership of the linked account. If we decline a request, we will tell you why and how to appeal, including to a supervisory authority.

9. Türkiye — KVKK aydınlatma metni

This section is for players in Türkiye. It is the illumination text required by KVKK Article 10. Where this section and the rest of the policy overlap, both apply.

  • Data controller (veri sorumlusu): Uniq Games Studio, reachable at uniqgames@gmail.com.
  • Personal data processed: the categories in section 2 — profile and account identifiers, progress, social features, device and usage data, crash diagnostics, and any information you send in support messages. We do not process special categories of personal data (KVKK Article 6 sensitive data) for playing the game.
  • Purposes: those in section 3 — running the game, saving progress, social features, support, security, product improvement and legal compliance.
  • Legal grounds (KVKK Article 5): processing that is necessary for the performance of a contract (playing Monster Trip); processing that is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided it does not harm your fundamental rights; processing that is mandatory for us to comply with a legal obligation; and, where the law requires it (for example certain optional notifications), your explicit consent (açık rıza), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To whom it is transferred: the processors in section 5, in particular Google (Firebase) for hosting, authentication, analytics and crash reporting, and Apple, Google or Meta only if you link an account. Transfers abroad are described in section 6.
  • Collection method: from you (profile, linked account, support), automatically from the device and the app, and from the app stores when you download or purchase.
  • Your rights (KVKK Article 11): to learn whether your data is processed; to request information about that processing; to learn the purpose and whether it is used accordingly; to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; to request deletion or destruction under the conditions in KVKK Article 7; to request that correction or deletion be notified to third parties; to object to a result against you that is produced exclusively by automated analysis; and to claim compensation if you suffer damage because of unlawful processing.
  • How to apply: email uniqgames@gmail.com. We will answer within thirty days. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu) if you are not satisfied with our response.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising, and we do not sell it. Optional processing that needs explicit consent is off until you turn it on in the game or on the Privacy preferences page.

10. California and other US state laws

If you are a resident of California or of another US state with a similar privacy law (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Utah), you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, the right to receive a copy, the right to appeal a refusal, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. You may use an authorised agent; we will still need to verify the request.

In the last twelve months we have collected the categories listed in section 2: identifiers (account ID, and name or email only if you link an account), internet and electronic activity (usage and diagnostics), and inferences we do not build — we do not profile you for advertising. We collect them to provide the game, to keep it working, and to support you.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a "limit my use" control. There is therefore nothing to opt out of on those fronts. If that ever changes, we will add the control on the Privacy preferences page and in Settings → Terms & Privacy before we start.

11. Children

Monster Trip is a family-friendly puzzle game, but it is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal data, contact us at uniqgames@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly. The game includes parental controls that let you turn off purchases and turn off chat and social features, and protect both with a PIN, under Settings → Parental Control.

If you are above 13 but under the age of majority where you live, you may only play with a parent or guardian, who should read this policy and use Settings → Parental Control as they think appropriate.

12. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and server-side rules so that a player can only read and write their own data. Our server-side functions validate anything that affects the game economy, rather than trusting the app. Processors who handle data for us are bound by contracts that limit what they may do with it.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal data and creates a risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

13. Third-party sites

The Services may link to the Apple App Store, Google Play, sign-in pages operated by Apple, Google or Meta, and other sites we do not control. This policy does not cover those sites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave ours.

14. This website, cookies and SDKs

This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies. It carries no advertising, no analytics and no tracking pixels. The full picture of cookies, local storage and the software development kits used in the game is in our Cookie Policy.

In short: the only thing this website stores on your device is the choice you make on the Privacy preferences page, in local storage, never sent to us. The game uses Firebase SDKs for authentication, saving progress, crash reporting, product analytics and remote configuration. Those SDKs store identifiers on the device. We do not use advertising or attribution SDKs, and we do not read the advertising identifier (IDFA / GAID) for ads.

15. Changes

We will update this policy when the game changes or the law does. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the game or by email before it takes effect.
